In allowing integrated application permission to access QB, does DPO change any of the QB data or QB function? Is that change restorable to pre DPO status?
DPO doesnot write back into QB. Our development partnership with Intuit allows DPO to automatically read data from QB using SDK seamlessly. There will be absolutely no change in QB data or QB function. You do need to have QB installed on the same computer that DPO is running at. If you use a different computer usually for QB that is OK.

 

In allowing integrated application permission to access PMS(Dentrix), does DPO change any of the PMS(Dentrix) data or PMS(Dentrix) function? Is that change restorable to pre DPO status?
DPO doesn’t write back into Dentrix or other practice management systems. Our development partnership with different practice management systems allows DPO to automatically read data from practice management systems like Dentrix, SoftDent, EagleSoft, Practice Works, EazyDental, Open Dental and many others seamlessly. There will be absolutely no change in practice management system data or its functions.

 

Does DPO communicate with Sikkasoft, and communicate any data from the Client (me)?
DPO automatically downloads updates from the SikkaSoft Live Updates server. This is to make sure you have the most recent version of both the data and program. We upload any rollups or summary data only with your permission to keep our databases current. Dentist name or any other type of identifier is not uploaded. Our technical support with your permission and under your supervision may use Citrix based HIPAA compliant and secure access to your computer to help in training.

 

How did Sikkasoft obtain its Data? Is it using these DPO Trials as a way to build a database?
No as you can see we already have more than 55k dentist database. However, DPO trials will enrich the database and we keep it free so that you can see the value and benefit of the program (normally retails at $495 per month).

 

In comparing my practice to others in my Zip Code area, what is the statistical basis for this comparison. Sampling size, etc.?
Our zip code databases contain over 55,000 dentists and are derived from ADA, ADCPA, COLA and US dept of census demographics data and our list of 52K dentists who opt-in to send their fees.

 

Is this another dental management system?

Do I need QuickBooks Pro in my office for helping me see the financial aspects of my practice?
Yes- Even though the program will work without QuickBooks, to see the complete picture you are encouraged to use QuickBooks Pro.

Can I use my own chart of accounts?
Yes- the program comes with ability to allow you using your own chart of accounts.

 

What if I use expensive labs, do you provide help analyzing them?
Yes- the program provides you the ability to change the lab fees it will use for calculating profitability of your procedures.

 

Do you have context sensitive help and a user's guide?
Yes, Dental Practice Optimizer has a context sensitive help built right into the program. Wherever you are in the program, it can help you to understand the dialog boxes with the click of a button. You can also view and print user's guide.

 

Is this program national? Does it work in all of United States?
Yes.

 

What about a practice with a higher level of "Delta Dental" patients? Can we still get the benefit of this program, or are there compromises?
Many of our customers are and they still see increases.

 

What kind of hygiene and restorative analysis can we count on?
We can tell you when we analyze your practice -a detailed procedure code analysis and using profitability data give you the most optimal schedule. Dental Practice Optimizer has a Practice Vital Signs Report that can analyze Hygiene to Restorative, Lab, Operative, Prophy to Perio and others. It is also able to read your financial data and give you accounts receivable to production, collection to production, patient attrition, dentist production per hour, hygienist production per hour and hundreds of other indicators about the heartbeat of your practice.

 

Do you have consultants that do "Lunch and Learns"?
We have training and unlimited support. This is a software program. We are available to answer questions as many times as you would like throughout the year. We have several online and in person training seminars, including presence at conferences and events. Please check the Events section of our website to lookup upcoming events. Our highly qualified and certified Independent Resellers and Trainers may be available to do Lunch and Learns with you.

 

Is this a Domestic Corporation?
Sikka Software is a California Corporation. Principals are US Citizens and have lived in the Bay Area for more than 17 years.

 

Will there be a live person to speak with in Customer Support and not reach a Voicemail Box?
Yes, technical support is live people out of San Jose. You can see more about our team and their background in About Us section of the website.

 

Is the continuing maintenance cost every year?
Yes this is the annual subscription cost. All data underlying changes continuously so we have to price it this way instead of a traditional software license. This price includes unlimited upgrades, data conversions, maintenance and support.

 

After 1 year the license will expire, what is the procedure for the Client to renew their license?
The Client will contact our Account Specialist and request a renewal. Upon receipt of payment, we will then generate a new license for the Dentist. We will need to make sure that when the Dentist installs the new license, the old database components are preserved - for example same user id and password should work.

 

What is the penalty if the Client should decide to break the contract?
There is no penalty. The annual subscription is paid at the beginning of the year. Clients are under no obligation to renew after the license has expired.

 

Are we providing an audio and visual file to the Client regarding the understanding and use of FSO?
Yes, training is in the form of audio video files.

 

If the Client forgets their password that is required to enter into DPO how will they be able to gain access?
The Client can contact technical support and they will verify the Dentist who ordered the license, then we will issue a temporary admin password.

 

When a Client calls and has a query at which time the support department was not able to solve, will the Support Executive call back at the specified time given by the Client?
Yes usually within the next business day.
